• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2017-09-21 10:26:02 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: seeing and experiencing the flow (incl. fast feedback cycles) developers get in during TDD
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: would be ideal to to the exercises with our own code. In this case it would not be possible as we all work on different projects.
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: see above
  • Instructor comments: excellent
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: I am promoting TDD and unit testing in my current assignment (covering about 1000 developers),and of course it helps when you have experienced it yourself. For myself I will not start doing TDD now, as I am not a programmer/designer anymore.
  • Challenges to applying: Big group of engineers, big/slow build environments. Getting fast build cycles is a challenge.
