• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2016-08-11 12:30:14 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: ZOMBIE method to thinking about testing
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: My Colleagues were intimidated at with trying to understand the concepts of the tools while trying to dig into doing the exercises for TDD and were frustrated. I was too the first time I took this, but being familiar, it was much easier the second time through. Perhaps a little more high level introduction to using the exercise space (Cyber-Dojo) would be helpful.
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements: Perhaps break them up in smaller pieces with discussion in between.
  • Instructor comments: I think some of the conversation was verbalizing what was going in your head. At times I couldn't tell if it was for his benefit or ours? Sometimes it sounded like he was confused. Clearly indicating what should be going on in our thinking process would be better.
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: No, Backlog of work from being in training 3 days and a pending release of code this week. I will be trying to squeeze some time to work on it a little bit each day.
  • Challenges to applying: Time to get comfortable with it.
  • Other comments: It was almost as good as the live presentation. Most of the questions/help there was still done like you did over the webinar. I thought there was more questions and discussion among attendees at the live event.
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
