Challenges to applying: It is very rare in our system to add completely new standalone code and therefore almost every new piece of code couples tightly with legacy code. Considering how long I took to create very simple tests, I worry that the close interaction with legacy code will severely complicate the creation of tests and hence will significantly extend the time taken to implement a feature.
