• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2015-10-24 16:59:59 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: The exercise we did bringing some legacy production code into the test harness was most enlightening for me. I will certainly use that approach. The concept of using this technique to keep testing needs in step with development, not rising.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: I thought the course was excellent. I liked the amount of participation we had doing the exercises and the round robin on the last day kept everyone on the edge of their seat and involved in wrestling the legacy code into the test harness. I liked swapping pairs too. Kept the experience moving rather than getting stale.
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: I thought they were just right.
  • Instructor comments: Just right. Knowledgeable and accessible, not stuffy.
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: Yes and I plan to.
  • Challenges to applying: The amount of tangled up legacy code we have means that each exercise may be painful up front.
