• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2015-08-27 20:18:36 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: Learning to fake or simulate dependencies that are either not implemented yet or that we aren't testing at this time.
  • Concepts v exercises: Not enough exercises
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: it would be interesting to see an example system you have tested in the past using only TDD to see more of an end goal
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: I think the exercises were great, just needed a bit more of them
  • Instructor comments: Very personal and knowledgeable on the topic
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: Yes, the only thing I would just need to set up a new test framework first (not crazy about the cpputest).
  • Challenges to applying: tons of legacy code is imported into each new project, so it will be a lot of overhead getting this technique started.

  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: Yes
