• Course: TDD for Embedded C/C++
  • Date entered: 2024-09-06 20:45:46 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: The process for coding with test driven development. I found it useful when we started with semi easy examples to learn the testing process.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: Potentially give more examples to work through. Light scheduler can be hard to navigate at first because we are brand new to it.
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: Give homework or time to look over exercises before the class starts.
  • Instructor comments: instructor was very knowledgeable. You could really tell he knew the material and how to teach it.
  • Better prepared: Moderately
  • Start tomorrow: no. I would need to do a little research on my own and set up my own test harness. I do believe I could create my own project using TDD.
  • Challenges to applying: getting things approved through IT. Getting proper buy in from stockholders.
  • Other comments: try to get everyone on the same page so they can follow along with the coding. I was stuck on a simple problem because I missed one step, so i was no longer able to follow along.
  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
