• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2023-05-04 22:32:15 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: How to test and develop at the same time
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: Perhaps a install guide for cppu test at start of the course, would be nice to follow along natively on machine
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: I work a lot with STM32's so I'd love a specific example using a dev bord perhaps, starting with some desired functionality (using GPIO's, ADC's, SPI or reading and writing to flash). Maybe as a final assignment or something just to get the full embedded dev experience.
  • Instructor comments: James is fantastic
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: No, there is still a fair amount of work to do to intergrade TDD into the teams workflow and flush out the inevitable kinks with changing workflow.
  • Challenges to applying: Being able to accurately emulate the microcontrollers to a point where tests will be an accurate and a reasonable recommendation
  • Other comments: None apparat from they were great
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
