• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2022-01-20 20:50:34 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: Honestly there were tons of useful information/concepts about the training. Pair programming TDD and seeing the practical aspects of the TDD cycle. A very inciteful course in how to develop software properly specifically for embedded development.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: I don't have any.
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: Maybe a little more understanding of the key components/modules and their relationships prior to doing the exercises but that was what the homework was for.
  • Instructor comments: A very good presenter of the topic. It is apparent that James has decades of invaluable experience and knows how to present the material is light hearted and structured way.
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: That's the goal to start TDD today in our code base.
  • Challenges to applying: Communicating the complexities and the time needed to inject the TDD process in our development. "Slow down to go fast"
  • Other comments: I think the remote training was perfect as it can be with the cyber dojo for coding practices and the remote presentations in conjunction with the online material.
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
