• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2019-06-12 21:20:25 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: I found the hands-on test-driven exercises very useful, which I was expecting. I think the single most useful idea I learned was that Agile management doesn't work without Agile development practices.
  • Concepts v exercises: Not enough exercises
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: I wish there'd been time for hands-on work with legacy code. I know there was concern about setting up environments, but judging from the demo you did I wonder if we couldn't use Cyberdojo for the legacy code too. I found the jumping back and forth between slides interesting. I thought having slides follow the discussion instead of lead it was very effective, but I wonder if there's a way to make lookup more efficient.

  • Instructor comments: Very knowledgeable and willing to share. I enjoyed how you worked the agile planning demonstration into the course itself. Focus seemed to wander a little bit at times.
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow:
  • Challenges to applying: I don't expect to run into a lot of resistance within my team; they've sent me here to catch me up.
