Message: Our development teams in Saskatoon and Fort Atkinson have traditionally developed software for sensors and CANBus/ISOBUS ECU's in C on baremetal or RTOS systems. They have minimal experience with C++ and almost no experience with TDD. As our markets are evolving, we are moving rapidly towards building applications on embedded Linux based ECUs (which are developed elsewhere in our organization) as well as some new baremetal projects. These new products will require the team to move to C++ and we will also be adopting TDD and a more agile process at the same time. I am an experienced C++ developer and a strong proponent of Clean Code, TDD, agile, etc., but I don't have much experience in the embedded space. I need help guiding the teams in the right direction. We are interested in arranging for a training session in our Fort Atkinson office in early Feb. 2019 with a focus on C++ and TDD for C developers. Please let me know if you think you can help us out.
