I have mostly a background as verification and fault tracing engineer. Not so much SW development.
Test practice now:
Manual debugging, trial and error for the test environment.
Test cases in test suites to test end user functionality in our products we build and deliver.
Target system:
Instrument cluster for commercial vehicles. Running Autosar "logica components" and HMI.

Mostly Visual Studio.

Favorite thing about dev:
The logical thinking and structure. Getting a chance to create something that will be used by others.
Least favorite thing about dev:
Long feedback loops. Problems debugging.
Tdd knowledge:
A bit. Not much practice. Test case writing, coding, testing, refactoring. Have watched Cleancoders episodes on TDD. Very interesting but hard to practise with the tools I have got.
Why are you attending:
My manager asked me if I was interested and he said he wanted me to go. As said, I mainly work with verification but am interested in the sw dev process and how we can improve the quality from an early stage. How can I contribute to that?
