• Course: C++
  • Date entered: 2026-07-10 20:07:19 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: Going through small steps when testing.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: Sometimes the content felt a little all over the place when going back and forth through a bunch of slides.
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements: The exercises themselves were good, but there were quite a few times on cyber-dojo where mobbing would happen even when only one person would be editing. This led to having to reload the browser, which often times removed code that was written.
  • Instructor comments: The instructor was personable and knowledgeable. They readily helped when stuck in the exercises.
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: Yes, I can apply some of the teachings. Though I do not often work on making fully new features, some of the TDD concepts can be used to better construct code.
  • Challenges to applying: The biggest challenge is time, as I usually work on small changes that need to be sent out quickly.
  • Other comments: The remote delivery was good for the most part. The biggest complaint was the occasional audio/visual issues. Sometimes the video would cut out or get really blurry and the audio would be choppy.
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: No
