I've been using Test Driven Design -> Development model for a long while, I enjoyed your book too. Many folks on my team have not been exposed to TDD and frankly we would be in better shape if we had. Lack of requirements is part of our problem and TDD is a forcing function to some extent for that. With recent lay offs here I want to drive a more efficient way to ensure that teams are doing the right work when collaborating with other teams - the product is very complex, has gobs of teams both technologically and geographically disparate. I see TDD as a way to get better alignment on goals using design by contract, and creating testable solutions. What training options would be available to the team, either live or potentially self paced - all are in the embedded space on RTOS or bare metal DSPs, Neural Network Processors, some are on top of linux / Android too. Hence there is a mix where we need solid interfaces. There would be around 20 folks involved in my immediate team and hopefully the partner teams in the near future. The problem is available time to do this, I could probably swing 2 half days sessions. (I know where you are going to go with how it saves time in the future, I don't disagree with you) Self paced may be a better options, but the collaboration aspect gets a bit lost. So can you give me a rough list of options and ballpark pricing for ~20 embedded developers to learn about why and how of TDD. Cheers, Geoff Smith
