Hi there,  The last few months have been tough for a lot of us; especially in densely populated areas with strict lockdown rules. I’m lucky to have my family with me - my mother lives next door, my husband was able to move his work to our home and I’m writing while homeschooling the kids.  However, it’s a different story for my little brother. He lives alone and far away from us and is unable to see his friends and his girlfriend who lives out of state. The only time he can go out is to get food.  That was when I learned he’d been able to mitigate some of his isolation by playing video games. We’d always joked about his love of games, but now he’s able to link up with his buddies to talk, play games, video chat and so on. It really opened my eyes.  My name is Katlyn and I’m writing because I’d love to contribute a full article on how videogames can help us during the global pandemic.
