James,

I'm interested in your on-site Agile for Embedded Development training. We have been given a mandate to embrace lean manufacturing methods in operations and to become more agile in our product development methods. I suggested your name as potential resource for training, and was asked to find out more about the options and costs to bring one of your course to Bird. I am interested in both the 1 day and 3 day options.

By way of context, I would describe our cross functional engineering staff as vaguely familiar with the verbiage (Agile, Scrum, Lean, etc), but not particularly knowledgeable about what that means in practice for how we define, manage, and execute projects. Our software staff is generally more knowledgeable, and a few of us have attended seminars and read work by James, Robert Martin, Martin Fowler, and others. Outside of engineering, most folks are just now hearing the terms and have no idea what that means. We have made a few limited efforts, with mixed success, to run smaller software projects using an Agile process.
