Course code: SP-CPP-4
  • Years with company: 5
  • Years programming: 6
  • Primary programming language: C
  • Other programming languages: Python
  • Unit test harnesses: None- brand new to unit testing
  • Something else: I have a computer engineering degree. Then, I moved into analog EE world. Now, I’m a mix between the two.
  • Test practice now: C: flash it onto an MCU , step thru with debugger until something goes wrong. In RTOS, hopefully with logging messages
  • Target system: CC2340, MSP430, python is for automating my lab
  • Dev tools: Visual studio + copilot CCstudio
  • Build time: 11-30 seconds
  • Coding standard: Unsure what this means, so I don’t have one
  • Function too long: Never considered this before; perhaps when too long to understand
  • Code reviews: None, solo
  • Code time: 40
  • Test time: 10
  • Debug time: 50
  • Favorite thing about dev: Pays the bills ;) , plus automating my lab makes life easier
  • Least favorite thing about dev: In an RTOS environment, I struggle to debug where specifically a race condition / fatal error begins
  • Tdd knowledge: Zero- we talked briefly about the idea of testing in chunks as you code
  • Why are you attending: Met you in a bar, I am very curious. I am young and new, and hoping to launch my first product
