• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2016-06-10 09:30:22 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: I was not taking small enough steps whilst I was developing using TDD.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: Hours were not great for me. We had to work as normal up to the start of the course at 1pm. Course is quite in depth and I was really struggling to focus by the end of the day.
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements: They seemed to be a bit complex for the time we had. Also, you could get stuck quite easily if you went down the wrong route. Time was wasted and only got so far down the exercise. Would it be possible to devise a way to re-synchronise during the exercise. i.e. Make the exercise a lot of short iterations with feedback / and continue from a correct solution after each iteration.
  • Instructor comments: Very experienced
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: Already started
  • Challenges to applying: I'm finding it very difficult to introduce to team, whilst not being very experienced in TDD myself.
  • Other comments: Webex was not great. However never before used webex or alternative.
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
