• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2016-05-13 11:03:03 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: not to be frightened of applying these techniques to the reams of legacy code
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: even though the course was for embedded C there were some C++ concepts that went over my head - maybe an extra little time for the benefit of non C++ would have helped
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements: faster link / response to cyber-dojo as our session took ages to run on each "test"
  • Instructor comments: fun guy who spoke sense
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: tomorrow is Saturday ....... :) ..... and I have some existing "day job" things to finish off. Also need to discuss with other team members to get a uniform approach for the same area of code
  • Challenges to applying: management will mis-understand what they will get out of it and when as well as when pressure is on corners will be cut (again)
  • Other comments: schedule later lunchtimes for me!
  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
