  • Date entered: 2012-07-13 14:59:34 UTC
  • Course rating: excellent
  • Most useful learnings:
  • Concepts v exercises: good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements:
  • Exercise rating: excellent
  • Exercise improvements: slightly more time on the input/output hardware exercise.
  • Instructor comments: coordinate better planning for pre-course environment set up sessions. the time/dates were not set up with enough notice that I got booked in meetings before the time/dates were announced
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: Yes (just not CAN packets). understanding how the compiler handles make files was a learning curve; but after that smooth sailing thus far
  • Challenges to applying: writing tests for communication protocols. dealing with legacy production code that doesn't compile outside of its proprietary environment
  • Other comments: I did not realize in my coding development that I was walking a tightrope without a safety net. Now I have one.
  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: yes
  • Quote permission: yes
