• Course: TDD for Embedded C++
  • Date entered: 2021-05-20 16:04:21 UTC
  • Course rating: Good
  • Most useful learnings: Must useful thing I lerned is for following rules of TDD, I need to write code in simpliest way. Then proceed by small steps to write test and improve/grow code.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: Maybe course and example can be mixed. For example, the first exercise can be inserted inside. It obviously means that time to doing exercise should be reduced but at least, poeple can interact more with instructor and they are not blocked too long.
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements: It could be an improvement to have more clues for finishing tests after the training. So we can have a full corrected example.
  • Instructor comments: He is patient, very understandable.
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: I can start tomorrow with a simple class. What could be a problem is to test a big existing class, because writting simple test can be difficult to think.
  • Challenges to applying: The refactoring to allow mock and fake classes could be a real challenge.
  • Other comments: The video of 1h is quite long even with accelerating time. It could be nice to split it or redo it because some parts are hard to heard (when speaker is away of microphone).
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: No
