• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2020-02-15 23:09:42 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: Writing test cases such that they are driving the development process, and not all the way around. And also various types of ways that TDD can be implemented for embedded development
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: It would be useful to have access, and be able to get familiar with the upcoming exercises before the live session (or maybe if you could provide some preliminary info to get us prepared for the exercises). I think that this way it could be easier for people to follow and to be able to complete the exercises on time
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements: Instructions could be improved/more detailed, and also pace them a little better (make the pace a little slower)
  • Instructor comments:
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: In my organization we are already using the principles and practices of TDD
  • Challenges to applying: The main challenged is that it's not always easy to apply these techniques to legacy code
  • Other comments: There were some issues with remote delivery (sometimes mic/sound would go off while during the live session), but overall OK
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
