Course:
TDD for Embedded C++
Date entered:
2018-11-08 23:35:12 UTC
Course rating:
Excellent
Most useful learnings:
That TDD can be very satisfying, in that you keep things working as you move forward...
Also, make it work, make it better (I forget the right word here), make it fast (enough).
Concepts v exercises:
Good balance
Presentation v discussion:
Good balance
Course improvements:
Nothing comes to mind.
Exercise rating:
Very Good
Exercise improvements:
It would have been nice to have had the time to finish the exercises.
I guess we still can ... but the chances of that are slim.
Instructor comments:
Good job!
Better prepared:
Bring it on!
Start tomorrow:
Yes, I can.
After the first time through the course, the concepts were a little vague, and that caused me to
forget rather quickly. My usages of the concepts were messy, especially with mocks. The concepts are no longer vague, and know I can do better!
Challenges to applying:
The challenges are much like what we saw in class when working in our own code, ie
difficulty of getting legacy code under test. Making progress in these challenging areas
as a group in class was very helpful.
