Course code: SIOUX-1
Years with company:
5 (but not anymore, I am a Test Architect)
Primary programming language:
Other programming languages:
C++, and scripting like ruby, tcl, perl
Unit test harnesses:
I advocate gTest& gMock (in my current project) but do not use them myself
15 years ago I switched from programming to testing (automating a lot in perl, tcl, ruby) and now I am a Test Architect. In my current role/project I improve testing (of both developers and testers) at a customer .Because I advocate TDD and unit testing, I think it would be could to experience it myself.
Besides that I provide test related courses and now and then I give presentations and workshops on test related conferences.
Test practice now:
not writing code anymore. test code is mostly written in ruby/python, etc.
lithographic wafer scanner (in previous project: electron microscope, X-Ray scanner, professional harddisk recorder)
Function too long:
it should fit on a screen (improves readability and understandibility)
Favorite thing about dev:
I like testing software ;)
Least favorite thing about dev:
I know some theoretical items, and advocate it.
Why are you attending:
As I am advocating TDD in my current project (and my previous project), I would like to experience it myself, so I know what I am talking about.
