Course code: WEB-7
  • Years with company: 7
  • Years programming: 14
  • Primary programming language: C
  • Other programming languages: Java, C#, Python, Basic
  • Unit test harnesses: Tessy
  • Something else: My main focus these days are on sotware architecture design and code generation tools. Our architecture is based on software components, but they still have a limited scope (mainly organizational units), and I want to improve it by creating a framework that could allows us to test the integration of them
  • Test practice now: with Tessy and with system level tests. We currenly lack of real integration testing
  • Target system: Power PC, Renesas RH50
  • Dev tools: Windriver
  • Build time: 1-5 minutes
  • Coding standard: MISRA-C
  • Function too long: I can not quickly understand what it does
  • Code reviews: We do reviews
  • Code time: 50%
  • Test time: 35%
  • Debug time: 15%
  • Favorite thing about dev: The constant challanges to solve problems and also to figure out how to do it better this time
  • Least favorite thing about dev: The time spent investigating bugs due bad designs
  • Tdd knowledge: reading books, specially from Robert C. Martin
  • Why are you attending: I like the TDD approach, I want it to be the "paradigm" of my team, because I am working in the setup of tools that wil support the TDD approach, but I need the team to get convinced of the TDD methodology
